Nurses of World publication NURSE magazine has obtained exclusive information about the new BUNNY SERIES BOOK soon to be released.

Currently NURSE magazine staff have approached and are coordinating interviews with Dr Pink Bunny and hopefully little Katie.

Wedding of the YEAR

by Skye Moreson

It was a spectacular affair when Dr Pink Bunny married the love of her life, Hamish Mac Bear, in private ceremony.

Held in the grounds of the magnificent Star Swamp Memorial Gardens Dr Pink Bunny looked a picture wearing a wedding dress exclusively designed and created by the internationally famous House of Nana.  It can be seen in the dress design that Dr Bunny made a stunning nod to Hamish Mac Bear’s Scottish heritage.

As Dr Bunny hopped down the red sateen carpeted aisle Hamish Mac Bear was seen to be overcome with emotion and wept as he watched his beautiful bride came down the aisle.

This glamorous wedding was then followed by a lavish reception held at the exclusive Lake Lodge situated at the high end of Star Swamp.

Included in the guest lists were dignitaries such as the Honourable Steve Snook, Mayor of Star Swamp and his wife, Shakira; Angus Mac Bear from the Burns Society, Scotland; fellow top selling author Miro Babineaux and his new wife, Bunny; along with senior members of Star Swamp Hospital.

During the festivities the bride and groom opened the dance floor with their wedding dance to the romantic song ‘I Will Love You Forever’ perform by world renowned band Everything.

It is not known where the happy couple went for their honeymoon.

Visiting lecturer Professor Skip Brumby from the Southern Highlands Medical College (SHMC) at STAR SWAMP HOSPITAL.

Guest Lecturer WOWS at

Star Swamp Hospital

by Skye Moreson

‘It is a known fact that EXCELLENCE encourages EXCELLENCE’ commented Dr Pink Bunny in a recent interview with Nurses of the World publication … NURSE magazine.  ‘This is how we have become known throughout the Medical Fraternity as the most sort after hospital in the world.’

After a special invitation to be present at Star Swamps Hospital’s lecture room 1b (LR1b) recently to hear a truly informative lecture by renowned guest speaker, Professor Skip Brumby, I can validate Dr Bunny’s insightful comment.

‘We endevour to expose our Interns and Students to as wide an area of expertise as possible.  That is why we host so many leading experts in their fields to lecture here at Star Swamp Hospital,’ explained Dr Bunny. ‘Experts such as Professor Skip Brumby.’

‘Professor Brumby comes to us from the Southern Highlands Medical College, NSW and I’m sure you can agree with me that his lecture entitled REVOLUTIONARY TECHNIQUES and EQUINE CARE in our MODERN AGE was not only highly educational but enjoyable as well,’ enthused Dr Bunny.

After the intense lecture a light supper was graciously provided by SSH’s Volunteers Organization which gave all Interns and students the opportunity to speak to Professor Brumby in length and I must confess that although I’m not a medical student I certainly had a lot of questions for Professor Brumby.

STAR SWAMP HOSPITAL

A WORLD LEADING TEACHING FACILITY

Dr Denzel Beaver;

an interview by Skye Moreson

Around the world internationally famous Star Swamp Hospital is considered the LEADING Teaching Hospital.

Star Swamp Hospital is a place where young Interns and Medical Students can get their paws, feathers and claws dirty.  Where the most advanced equipment is available for finessing specialised techniques and where superb opportunities are available,’ said Dr Denzel Beaver, in an exclusive interview.

‘I was absolutely thrilled to be given the opportunity to work as a Surgeon and become Head of the Student Board at Star Swamp Hospital.  Moving to Australia and working closely with Dr Pink Bunny in such a multi-cultured and environmentally friendly hospital environment is a dream come true.’

‘If a student is a bit squeamish when it comes to stuffing (like dear Ollie Bear as recorded on pages 23 and 36 in The Story of Pink Bunny) then maybe a different career path needs to be considered,’ chuckled Dr Beaver.

Having gained his qualifications from the Northern University Medical Institution (NUMI), Duke University for Fluffy Animals, Majoring in Surgical Techniques and being a membership of the American College of Fluffy Physicians (FRUSACP) Dr Beaver enthused that ‘mentoring Interns and Students is great a passion.’

Married to Mrs Beaver and having a daughter named Candice (Candie) who is one of Dr Pink Bunny’s early morning ballet students Dr Beaver said ‘My wife and little girl enjoy living at the Lake Star Estate, being so close to both the Swamp and the beautiful ocean is very reminiscent of our old lodge in the northern part of California.  In fact, escorting my daughter through the bush to her ballet class at The Star Swamp Community Centre is a highlight of the day for me.’

Watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play in the National Football League (NFL), taking his lovely wife out for a good ‘tail slap’ at the local dance hall and drinking a delicious Maple Mocktail (family secret recipe) are Dr Beaver’s other passions.

‘I’m very fond of maple syrup,’ laughed Dr Beaver, ‘but I’m not so fond of an Australian dark breakfast spread!’

I can only say that with all that knowledge and enthusiasm Star Swamp Hospital’s students are in safe paws!

DRAMATIC RESCUE

By Skye Moreson

The Summer Season is in full swing with heat waves affecting most parts of Australia.  To our innocent oversea tourists this brings the opportunity to enjoy our sun, sea and surf culture as they flock to our shores to escape the freezing conditions of their home countries.

However, as I recently witnessed first-hand, there are hidden dangers lurking.

Star Swamp Hospital’s Paramedics attended a scene where a tourist, unaware of the dangers, had collapsed at the beach.  Sitting in the full sun, bathers on, no shirt, no shade, no hat and apparently no sunscreen on.  A dangerous combination on a 42 degrees Celsius day!

Showing their skills and superb training Paramedics George and Carlo immediately went into action to revive and care for the distressed tourist.

‘Looking after our visiting guests is a priority here and thankfully as soon as a problem is discovered our staff are QUICK acting, UNDERSTANDING of cultural differences and CARING,’ explained Dr Pink Bunny, Head of internationally famous STAR SWAMP HOSPITAL.

After a full recovery and grateful for the medical attention she had received our international guest told NURSE magazine (via a translator) to ‘use the photos of my experience as a teaching tool.’

So, we have and the message is clear and strong…

SLIP on a shirt,

SLOP on a hat,

SLAP on some sunscreen,

SIP on water and most importantly

ENJOY OUR BEACHES SAFELY.

Revolutionary New Technique Sketched

By Skye Moreson

In recent weeks it has come to the attention of Nurses of the World publication …

NURSE MAGAZINE … that Perth Artist Ros Barry had been commissioned to do a series of real-life sketches of the running of Star Swamp Hospital.

Seen as some what of a coup by many due to Ms Barry’s private nature.

Dr Pink Bunny recently said while speaking to the Bunny Tales Blog staff that ‘it was important for the hospital to show its superb facilities and staff in a modern light and it was felt by all SSH Board members that Ms Barry was the perfect artist for the job.’

‘If one looks at the sketched image provided one can see the latest equipment used in the operating theatre.  Here, it can be appreciated that Star Swamp Hospital is also a teaching hospital,’ explained Dr Bunny.  ‘As this is a sketch of the first time my Revolutionary New Technique was performed it will hang in SSH’s Hall of Fame.’

This sketch has been included in The Story of Pink Bunny published by London based company Austin Macauley along with many others.

Latest Scientific Advances

By Skye Moreson

In a recent interview with Dr Pink Bunny, Head of internationally famous Star Swamp Hospital, I was taken aback by the pride that Dr Bunny expressed in the hospitals’ latest technologies and equipment.

‘If one looks at the image provided one can see an example of the latest equipment used at Star Swamp Hospital.  Note the special HEART MONITOR,’ explained Dr Bunny, ‘which provides an instant digital readout of the patient’s heart directly to the supervising therapist.  With this knowledge the patient’s recovery is guided more carefully and often results in a speedier recovery.’

‘It is not only the latest equipment that make Star Swamp Hospital so special,’ continued Dr Bunny, ‘but it also takes dedicated, hardworking, superbly trained therapy staff to interpret information given to them by our advanced equipment.’

‘I, myself, have introduced revolutionary new techniques into this very hospital,’ enthused Dr Bunny.  ‘This particular new technique has been recorded and subsequently published by London based publishing company Austin Macauley in The Story of Pink Bunny and it is a life saver.’

With such a glowing interview given by our very own Dr Pink Bunny I can only say that if I was ever unwell, I know which hospital I would be going to

STAR SWAMP HOSPITAL.

Nurse Jane WINS…

NURSE of the YEAR

by Skye Moreson

‘It is with great pride that today internationally famous Star Swamp Hospital’s HIGHEST HONOUR has been bestowed upon …

Nurse Jane for her dedication to work and her caring LOVE that goes beyond all bounds.’

With these stirring words Head of Star Swamp Hospital, Dr Pink Bunny, awarded our very own Nurse Jane with the world recognised and highly prestigious award.

Born in Argentina and migrating to Australia with her parents as a little cub, Nurse Jane’s first months in her adopted country were quite challenging.  Unable to speak the language and feeling quite confused and scared at her kindergarten (“Little Aussie Kids” Innaloo, one of Perth’s near coastal suburbs) she quickly learnt the language and became one of the most popular students eventually winning Citizen of the Year in her final year at her local primary school.

Nurse Jane told NURSE magazine that one of her motivations to become a nurse in the first place was because she suffers from a very rare condition herself.  ‘It was the love and care that I received as a young patient in the children’s hospital that shaped my desire to become a nurse.’

Gaining a BSc (Nursing) from Curtain University for Fluffy Animals (CUFA) and a Master of Nursing Practice (MNP) she also has a Fluffy Nursing Association of Australia (FNAA) lifetime membership.  One of the few recipients in Australia to receive such an honour.

Nurse Jane told us that gaining the Supervising Nurse position at internationally famous Star Swamp Hospital, (a hotly contested vacancy with over 1000 applications from around the world) ‘made my day.’

Here is an extract from Nurse Jane’s acceptance speech … ‘it is with joy that I accept this great honour on behalf of ALL my fellow Nurses from around the world who, like me, are on the front line of HEALTH.’

Well said Nurse Jane.

Another of Nurse Jane’s loves is Salsa dancing at the Star Swamp Community Centre’s Salsa Dancing night each week with her boyfriend and dance partner, Juan Toe.

CONGRATULATIONS NURSE JANE and WELL DONE.

INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY SPEECH

“With only wings of Tin and Steely determination she managed to break the concrete binding her to the earth and SOAR HIGH.  Higher than she was ever allowed or imagined.”

I feel that as we all gather here to today to celebrate ‘International Female’s Day’ a part of that quote relates to us deeply.

As a female, my own actions in life have had a positive result not only within my family environment but out there in the world.

Studying and working hard resulted in me being given the opportunity to run the busiest and most famous technologically advanced and environmentally sensitive hospital in the world… STAR SWAMP HOSPITAL.

I’m proud of my achievements as I am proud of those around me who have also achieved.

This is what we can ALL do if we stick together, support and cheer on our fellow females in their endeavours to improve not only their own lives but the lives of their families and those around them.

These small actions alone can filter down and improve our immediate environment and hence, over time, the WORLD.

Thank you for inviting me here to the magnificent Lake Lodge to speak at the National Press Club for Fluffy Animal’s Annual luncheon.  It is indeed a great honour for me and for Star Swamp Hospital.
